I heard from some one like India is a place where we have number of festival more then the number of days in year :D . And I Personally think this statement is true because whenever I went to village then I found every day they have some puja or Festival even some time two festival at the same day strange but true. So here In this post we are Going to Discuss How we north Indians Celebrate our Year
#1 As we all know hole World Celibate 31 st December eve and first January as a new year celebration and we are also the part of this world so we celebrate to its not a festival but we also start our new year with celebration as entire world do :D
#2 New year celebration not even finish completely and we got another reason for celebration its a Lohri and makar sankranti Time and we celebrate both on 13 and 14 Jan some time date changes according to Hindu callender
#3 Now January is over and we have vasant panchami in Beaning of February and we do saraswati puja for excellence in academics
#4 Still Its a Month Of February and till the end of this month we have another big day for us its mahashivratri and we do Puja of Hindu God Baba Bholenath (Shiva)
#5 Almost 2 month and 4 big days are over for us and here We have a Big Festival For us. A Festival of Colors Holi
#6 Then In April we have two major festival Baisakhi mostly calibrate in Punjab Region and Navaratri. In navaratri devoters use to have fast for nine days. days may vary according to Hindu calendar also known as panchang
#7 its Strange but true in a month of may and June we don't have any big festival but in both the month most school are closed for summer vacation so its a fun time for our Kids
#8 Now Its a month of August and you may say a beginning of Blast of festival. In Augest we have Nag panchami , sawan ke somwar , Raksha Bandhan and Krishna Janmashtami
#9 half month of sibtember is for aour ancestors we call them pitar paksh and rest for Navratri
#10 Here is the October a month of major festival Vijayadashami also known as Dashahara
#11 In a month of November We have a festival of light Diwali and some related festival its a kind of bunch of festival related to each other like Diwali , Choti Diwali , bhai duj , govardhan pooja etc.
#12 Now after a busy schedule of complete year we reached at the last month of a year December and we celibate 25 Dec as a Christmas with all world :)
We Indians have every thing in excess Population , Pollution , Languages , Religions , Food , Colors , Cultures as well as Festivals. In this post I tried to cover all major days but still if you think we miss something then mention below in comment section :D
